I’ve seen much, much worse than this. Entire Ph.D. dissertations, plagiarized verbatim in parts, and keeping people from being able to publish the work because of the publishers fear of dealing with an ongoing plagiarism lawsuit. Or a professor who stole work from a graduate student and published it as their own, costing the student a paper in the process.
