One of the United States’ best college towns, State College, Pennsylvania, is home to quite a few popular restaurants. The following is just a small sample of some of the locals’ favorite places to dine:
- Otto’s Pub and Brewery: A little out of the way, Otto’s Pub and Brewery is a popular spot for individuals looking for a good burger and original beer. All burgers are made from locally sourced ingredients, and the restaurant is looking to add an on-site distillery.
- Mad Mex: Home to some of State College’s best food and drink specials, Mad Mex is a popular Mexican food chain. It offers $5 all-you-can-eat burritos every Monday, along with deals on San Francisco wings on Fridays.
- Faccia Luna: The premier pizza spot for locals and visitors, Faccia Luna sells wood-fired pizzas with a wide range of unique toppings. It is outside of downtown State College, but many individuals cite the restaurant as having the town’s best pizza.
- Original Waffle Shop: An especially popular destination after Penn State home games, the Original Waffle Shop is home to, of course, some of the area’s best waffles. The line can get long during weekends, but most regulars agree that it’s worth the wait.
