Sometimes The Poem is Silence

A name is not an identity,

A color has no letters,

Art doesn’t spring

from any signature,

The truth lives

outside of books.

In the darkness:

Seeing past the world,

Discovering a smile,

That knows all names:

Each a punchline,

Written that we might see.
