That is the plight of pioneers. They don’t rise from sleep and call to others for prosperity or success. They are successful because they awaken and place light upon better paths. Sooner or later others follow. And without a first, there is no second or third.
If we realize we live longer, larger arcs, then we also discover that we eventually receive the consequences of our choices. To sit down and fade or to rise and walk. Death always waits with open arms. But, life invites us to dance.
It’s not changed much since Hamlet asked, “To Be or not to be.” We are all still asking that question each day. How we answer becomes the tapestry of our lives.
