What a journey Heath Evans! Thank you for sharing your experience of pushing yourself to seemingly prove something and how detrimental it really was to your goals. I am finding that I was (am, haha) not clear on my goals until I found some way to slow down/pause. Combining therapy with meditating (I am SO thankful to find a type of meditation that works for me), I can now see how much energy I have wasted. Most of my ‘goal-driven’ time has followed a ‘Ready, Fire, Aim’ process. I’m working on my aim now.
