One of toughest women I have ever met had trigeminal neuralgia. As you know the operation then was to cut a hole in the skull and slide a sponge (?) sheath over the nerve. As you also will know (a brain surgeon friend told me) there are one or more new ways to treat TN. I'm not a medic but an Educational Philosopher and I know that this terrible affliction deserves the greatest sympathy.
