Hi Nathan,
I enjoyed yourpiece very much. It is also my story: a long journey through religion, in my case, both Catholic and evangelical pentecostal, church musician, worship leader etc. I have abandoned that form of spirituality long ago now and have adopted a very different approach to life, one that is less myopic and more human. Had I not done this, I would not have met my wonderful husband and been able to work with people as I do as a Counselling Psychologist here in Newcastle. Although my music took a detour for many years, I continue to play most days now and discovering new music is an absolute delight. It feeds my soul. I think our purpose is to live life. And I think this happens best with enriching experiences and the wonderful connections we make with other people. And if you’re lucky enough to find love, then that is the sweetest of all. I hope you find your musical muse again and let it guide you. I also hope that rediscovering your music brings you great happiness. Best wishes — Stuart
