Track your investment portfolio with the Dr Wealth Portfolio Tracker App

The Dr Wealth Portfolio Tracker App makes Portfolio Performance Benchmarking and Dividend Tracking easy for the small, independent investor who wants to grow his/her wealth through investing.

It is free to use and does not contain ads.

This guide is created to help you get started fast so that you can immediately see how your investments have been doing — in a single glance.

1: Download the Dr Wealth Portfolio Tracker App

The Dr Wealth Portfolio Tracker App is currently only available on Android. The iOS version will be out in 2–3 months.

2: Create a new account

To use the Dr Wealth Portfolio Tracker, you will need to create an account. This is to ease your tracking and updating. Your information will not be shared to anyone or anywhere. Read our Privacy Policy to find out more.

  • To create your account, press on the blue ‘New User Signup’ button.
  • Enter your ‘Email Address’ and your preferred ‘Password’. You will need at least 8 characters for your password.

Once you have set up the account, you will receive a confirmation email in your inbox.

Do verify your email to ensure that your Dr Wealth Portfolio Tracker belongs to you.

We clean off our database regularly to get rid of spam emails and to ensure that the app is in optimal running condition. Accounts with non-verified emails may be deleted during these routine clean ups.

3: Set up your profile

Once you are in, the first step is to set up your profile.

Update the fields as indicated and press ‘Save’.

4: Add stocks via app

Once your Dr Wealth Portfolio Tracker account is completely set up, it’s time to build your portfolio records.

You can track your portfolio performance and earned dividends by recording each investment via the Dr Wealth Portfolio Tracker App.

  • Press on the ‘Search’ icon to look for the stock you have invested in.
  • You can choose to search by Stock Code or Company Name. (P.S. Some company names have several variations. Improving the search function is on our to-do list. For now, the stock code may be a good alternative if you cannot find a SG stock)
  • Select your target stock.
  • You can view more details about your selected stock in this screen; the current price, the 30 days high and low and some of the recent announcements.
  • Press on the big yellow ‘Buy/Sell’ button to include this stock into your portfolio.
  • You will be prompt to enter the following details about your stock investment when you add the stock into your portfolio:

Number of Shares
Share Price
Date of Transaction

  • Complete the fields.


As of Version 2.0.7, transaction fees have been included! This is how you can include your transaction fees when you add a new holding:

Remember, you can edit all previous holdings as well. Refer to this video.

5: Add stocks via csv

This is a Dr Wealth #hack!

If you have a pre-existing portfolio with many stocks, adding stocks individually might be too time consuming.

To save some time, you can choose to upload your entire portfolio with a single .CSV file instead.

  • To use this function, you will have to log into the web version of Dr Wealth.
  • Click on your username at the top right corner once you are logged in.
  • Select ‘Import Portfolio’

The following fields would need to be included in the .CSV file;

Include as many rows as you need for your portfolio.

But we are not done!

  • To ensure that all the correct data have been captured, go to ‘Imported Data’. Check your entries and accept the import.
  • You will have to close the Dr Wealth App on your phone to refresh the data.
  • Once done, you can now view your entire portfolio via the mobile Dr Wealth App.

6: See your performance vs a benchmark

This is where it gets exciting, let’s head back to the Dr Wealth Portfolio Tracker App. Most investors do not track their performance, hence many only know how their portfolio is doing…’roughly’.

The Dr Wealth App helps you to track this without having to use any complex models. Your portfolio performance is then presented to you in a single graph.

P.S. We are working on the ability to include transaction fees into the picture!

To access your portfolio performance, select the menu in the Dr Wealth Portfolio Tracker App and go to ‘Performance’.

You can choose to benchmark your performance against a range of markets. The current available benchmarks are:

  • STI
  • S&P 500
  • HSI
  • KLCI
  • FTSE 100
  • ASX 200

You can currently benchmark for up to a year. We are working on to increase the duration for the comparison.

7: See your dividends by month

Another exciting feature in the Dr Wealth Portfolio Tracker app is the ability to track your dividends chronologically.

All you’d have to do is to log your transactions accurately and the Dr Wealth app will do the rest based on data that is being pulled from notable sources.

The dividend tracker notes the stocks that you have invested in an shows you a month by month breakdown of the dividends you earn.

To access your dividend tracker, select menu and go to ‘Dividends’.

Next, select the appropriate time frame.

8: Sell stocks and delete stocks

To allow accurate tracking of your portfolio and investments, the Dr Wealth Portfolio Tracker app also allows you to indicate sales of your holdings.

  • To record a ‘SELL’ transaction, select menu and go to ‘Holdings’.
  • Select the target stock that you have sold.
  • Update the following fields:
  • Number of Shares
  • Share Price
  • BUY / SELL
  • Date of Transaction

Removing wrong stock entries

As humans we err. Sometimes we may accidentally add the wrong stock into our portfolio.

To right this wrong, simply delete the erroneous stock entry.

  • Select menu and go to ‘Holdings’.
  • Select the target stock that you want to delete.
  • Press on the ‘Trash Can’ icon at the top right corner.
  • Confirm your decision, and poof the stock entry will never be seen again.

Deleted stocks will not be taken into account when generating your dividends and portfolio performance reports.

9: Check your Holdings

Investing is not a short term event. Over time, it is common to forget details like:

  • “When did I invest in this stock?”
  • “At what price did I buy a stock?”

Or even…

  • “Which stocks have I invested in?”

If you have completed steps 4 or 5, you will be able to see all your holdings in your hand.

Go to menu and select ‘Holdings’.

NEW FUNCTION: Managing your Holdings

With version 2.0.5, you are now able to edit individual transactions.

To edit your transactions:

  • Select ‘Holdings’ via the menu
  • Select your desired stock
  • Scroll down and press on the ‘View Detailed Holdings’
  • Select the transaction that you’d like to edit. You can edit the following;
  • Amount of stocks purchased / sold
  • Price
  • BUY / SELL transaction
  • Date of transaction

You can also choose to Delete the transaction using the ‘Trash Can’ icon.

10: Create a watchlist

Now, once you know how well your portfolio has been doing, it’s only natural to want to improve your performance.

You can do so by either investing in more stocks or cutting loss on some of your holdings.

The Dr Wealth Portfolio Tracker app allows you to monitor stock prices using a watchlist. This is how to set up your personal stocks watchlist.

  • Go to the menu and select ‘Watchlist’.
  • Press on the Search Icon.
  • Search for your target stock.
  • Select your target stock from the search results.
  • Press on the big yellow ‘Add’ button.
  • Add the stock to your watchlist.

  • To Delete stocks from your watchlist, simply select the target stock and click on the ‘Trash Can’ icon.
  • Select the watchlist that you’d like to remove the stock from.
