Great satire! As was mentioned by another reader, this is even better than an Onion article. The best satire succeeds by intially leaving one unsure if it’s satire or not, overlapping with the existing absurdities within the real world.
For the first paragraph or two, I was uneasy, thinking, “Oh, here we go…”
But I soon recognized this brilliant satire for what it is: a spot-on capture of the clueless horde, who have no idea of the struggles faced by so many. Nor, of course, do the clueless care to learn why there is more than a frisson of fear within an America that now faces the reality of president-elect Trump.
