Wherever there are audio clips there are motions like waving, clapping, and clicking legs on the floor, each culture and country has their own special traditional audio clips either songs or anthems, gustures are different from a type to another based on their speed, rhythm, lyrics, or origins. All audio clips are consist of 3 factors, rhythm, tempo, and meter.

Rhythm

Is the way how the track was structured and how beats are distributed among it.

Speed: BPM/Beats Per Minute

The speed of the track is measured by the number of beats in one minute, producers and audio engineers will know better about it since they use it in their works, it is possible to have a track with the same tempo but a different rhythm.

Harmonic Motion

Audio clips are being widely used in sports clubs and gyms since it is playing a great role in involving participants into the workout and not letting them feel the time and effort, some types of sports are forced to use audios since they’re parts of them like Aerobics and Zomba which are always synchronising with the hearing sense. In running exercises harmony can be applied by following the rhythm with the leg steps, however it is different from a runner to another and it is not a fixed equation for all.

Can workout speed be increased by Rhythm speed?

The main reason for me to join Dubai Marathon is to collect enough statistics to come up with this article, and to prove as an Audio Science researcher that the facts blowing my mind are they scientificly correct?, not fixed but approximately. Audio clips can enhance the workout movement and arrangement, but it doesn’t force the person to interact with the rhythm if he is not willing to, because fitness and passion both are motivators in this situation in order to succeed.

The statistics above are showing the playlist i used for the Marathon, it was in the same order starting from the race initiation. We can notice that each track has a different tempo (speed) and the Kilometer lap time is mostly shorter when the tempo is faster, also we can see the difference between the 9th km and the 10th km however the last lap is always the most difficult one, but it have been completed faster with the fast tempo.

Motivational Contents

Lyrics and contents can have a positive affect in motivating and continue to involve the listener to keep engaging with it, so the steps remain organized specially when the content has a connection with the listener team or origins. As an example, accedintally the 3rd km faced the track with the slowest tempo among the other 11 tracks in the playlist, but it was accomplished faster than couple of laps, since the track was originally derive from the father of UAE Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, which affected me emotionally more than tracks with faster tempo.

Note: those findings can be accurate for some experements, while other ones it will not, as i mentioned it is always depending on the person with his emotions, fitness, and motivation.
