Is there something wrong with you if/when you get nervous before a game or speech or sales call? Not at all. Performances can bring with them anxiety. Is there something you can do about it? Absolutely. How would you like to get rid of — or at least control — anxiety and nervousness on-call, as in whenever you wanted to? Would that help you in any way? 1) Remind yourself that you earned the spot in this game. The work is already done. Now just time to show it off. 2) Find YOUR mental zone and condition your mind to get into it. 3) Take 5–10 deep breaths and envision your successful performance.
