I thought the Emily Rhyne’s Pistola feature was a clear winner for several reasons. The whole project flowed really nicely with strong visuals and sound. She provided a number of different perspectives varying from detail shots to wide angles and lots of panning, constantly showing movement. By the end of it, Rhyne successfully showed a wide array of perspectives in the boxing ring, making it very apparent that she spent a good amount of time with her subject. However, I felt like the storyline itself kind of lacked. Ok, he boxes, so what? Is there a resolution? I kind of felt like the boxer’s story ended too quickly and that the project focused a little too much on being flashy.
