Goals To Seek in the Final Stretch; 2016

  • Finish that damned Octopus painting. You. Are. So. Close. Don’t stop now.
  • Start running with dog.
  • …talk to Ian about getting a dog before Nov. 20th
  • Get tattoo. You need it. You want it. Just do it.
  • Don’t feel pressure to keep in touch with people that are toxic, and overlook your value.
  • Finish the year strong at work. You’re good at what you do, great even. Sell art because you love it, not because you need to in order to pay your bills.
  • Initiate the Rapid Eye Movement Therapy twice a month. It may be scary, but you know it will help shed light to darker moments in your life. Allow yourself to get better, instead of being afraid of what the process entails.
  • Limit meat and caffeine consumption to once a day. You’ll feel better about yourself.
  • When you want to harm yourself, take a moment to write it down. You’ll realize what’s triggering you. Realization is the first step.
  • Go to the last few Film Festival after parties. Yes, it may stress you out. But, allow yourself to experience something new. I know that having surface level conversations seem mediocre, so make it an opportunity to go deeper with someone new. Be you, not who you think you need to be in that situation.
  • Keep up the dream diary. Those dreams mean something, and soon you’ll be able to understand the connection your subconscious is trying to make.
  • Continue living your present life. Terrible things happened in the past, but try to allow yourself to be happy. You deserve it. So much.
  • Make Wednesdays your day. If you need to spend it alone, do that. If you want to make it a day with Ian, do that. If you want to spend time with friends, do that. Do whatever you want, because it’s your day. Relearn how to enjoy doing things without another person’s permission.
One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?
