In Boston, winter makes the spring beautiful
Boston has a long winter…
There are those brutal days in February or March when you can’t help but fantasize about being somewhere else, like San Diego or Miami, where the people don’t have to wear 5 layers for a 5 minute walk.
When you spend those months walking directly into the wind, no matter what direction you’re walking in, it’s easy to get lost in a mental game of “why” and “if only”. You question why you live here.
And then there’s a day like today…
When you can stand in a park, fall flat on your back, and stare into a clear blue sky; feel the grass tickle the back of your hands and the sun against your palms.
And you realize that you’ve experienced beauty on a level that no southern-Californian ever will. That’s why this place is special.
Nobody comes to Boston to be comfortable. You come here to work, build, learn, and grow.
You come here to get your ass kicked every day, so that when you’re eventually ready, you’ll know what a truly kick-ass day is.
So thank you Boston, for teaching us just how amazing the sun is.
