Having your mobile application can be expensive and time-consuming. Even for small brands or medium size of business teams, shifting into the digital world can be challenging starting from application development stages and its budget and many more. How much does it cost to deploy a mobile application? But first, we need to ensure whether this shift will be web or mobile app. Then after, what kind of things you should focus on to start with?

There are many steps for building an entire mobile application, not only just overall look like an app but also, it should be onto the target users. The users have no idea about how many lines of code are behind that interfaces. They just expect something about how instant to use.

So, there is a whole science behind every successful application and its interfaces such as what kind of color palettes it should have and how big or small its buttons should be to engage with the target audiences. After its overall wireframes are designed and shifted to the tech team, another challenge will have arisen. Implementing all of the special features and design is going to be a complex part where you still keep paying time and money.

Here are some findings about mobile app development costs:

With basic elements and very few features such as a cooking recipe or online courses, will cost around $12,000 to $40,000 to build. Examples of lower-level of complexity apps can be Spotify, etc.

Medium-level complexity apps which are included ordering and shopping or instant messaging or whatever can be a high development session and equal to the budget to build which will be around $45,000-$60,000.

Complex apps or so-called “Enterprise-grade” apps can be included delivery and transportation costs up to $60.000.

If break down these budgets, there are many steps you need to break through in its development lifecycle as it is mentioned above. They are:

  • Pre-research and primary research which can be called the “discovery stage” where you need to know an overall understanding of who your audience will be, who are your competitors in this field, what kind of problems to solve, and how can you solve it, and when did this problem arise. Generally, companies will have to spend around $5000 for it.
  • Wireframing and Product design can be directed for the next developing stage. Product design and its usability can decide whether to hold target audiences or not. If this part going to crash, the whole effort will be collapsed because like I said before, they have no idea about backend code or those kinds of things, they just look around and stay or just leave. This stage naturally costs around 15–25% of the total budget.
  • Development and deployment are the part where called make it or break it. This is the part where the design and codification can be met and make your visualization a reality. Deploying is the critical part of the qualified end of your project. It varies depending on the complexity level, but still costs around 25–60% of your total budget.

In the end, there is no strict budget count, it all depends on the level of complexity of your application. As mentioned before, Simple apps such as cooking recipes, tutoring classes, or any kind which has a few features or a high level of complexity apps can be built by no-code app-building tools out there. It can reduce your budget by up to 70%.
