SNAPCHAT IS GROWING

Snapchat is becoming big, there’s no doubt about it. Since it started becoming popular in 2013 it shows no signs of slowing down. It reaches a young audience with 26% of the users between the ages of 19–29.

For those who thought it had little potential, and that it was all going to be a hype, the platform has proved them wrong. Evan Spiegel isn’t afraid of making bold moves, yet, everything they do only seems to help growing its audience needs.

Pressure from investors was big and at a moment Snapchat had to start making money. It’s impressive how unobtrusive they implemented different types of monetization inside their product: Its Discover page is a great way to display sponsored content with its Discover page, while in-app purchases allow users to upgrade on features (US-only). Unlike Instagram or Tinder, users (still) have the choice of watching what they want and didn’t get any feature limitations.

Like every social media platform evolution nowadays, the possibilities inside Snapchat are increasing: Apart talking with your friends and following your idols, it is increasingly becoming a great source of information with more and more media outlets joining the party as well.

It’s still pretty hard finding the right accounts to follow

However, the difficult part about Snapchat is that (unless on the Discovery page) there is are no page recommendations based on preferences or friends’ likes.

We took a closer look at some popular tech magazines and how they deliver content on Snapchat. Just scan the Snapcode inside your App and get them added to your Snapchat feed.
