I check the clock. 8:00am. Oh yeah, early, fresh, ready to go… my knuckles kinda hurt though…
AND HE’S AWAY! Flying through those HackerRank exercises! (Disclaimer: “flying through” is a relative term)
Then, in the distance, what is that? It looks like… wait… no… PLEASE NO

Afternoon:
Everyone else in my course definitely hears the lyrics “RUBY RUBY RUBY RUBAY”, all the time yeah?
It’s taken me 27 years to appreciate the value of doing your homework. If I even have children, this is one of the 5,329 guidelines for life I will certainly try (and fail) to push as valid. Mmm, maybe not the best rabbit hole to get sucked into mid-lecture, FOCUS.
But I have learnt! And now I feel great! I understand these topics! Definitely quite slow on the math… probably quite slow on a lot of things, ignorance is bliss. 🤗
The thread certainly unravels a little when I occasionally realize I have no idea how to apply any of this in a way that is “useful”… or how it could be useful… If I think too hard about it I get the same feeling when you stare at the night sky for too long and realize how big the stars are and how small you are.

If my Outdoor Ed spirit-animal is a fox, then my Coding spirit-animal is a slug 🐌
I really enjoy these parts of the day.
It feels chaotic, in a nice way. We all break off and do our own coding, then kind of bounce and bop through different concepts.
I think this happens about 100 times an hour:
