Bill, do you teach college students challenging subjects like race, class, and gender? No? Then I’m not sure how your comment is relevant to the real world of collegiate education.
I’m also curious how teaching college students to tackle difficult subjects gracefully and elegantly, as the OP supports on a daily basis in her work, is not good preparation for a global marketplace filled with billions of people from a huge variety of cultures and perspectives.
