Lets start at the very beginning…

If you are a Sound of Music fan you will understand my title. If not and you know the song, I can still accept that.

So this is my first blog post. Not my first blog post on Medium, but on this account; yes I have two accounts but this one I would like to make the most out of.

I used Medium in the first Semester at Univeristy and came to the conclusion that I liked this platform a lot. It is simple, easy to navigate and really any person can write about anything, anywhere.

I made the choice whether to continue using my own website onlinedunn.co.uk which I created over the other two Semesters. However, after careful consideration I decided to create another account on Medium, and publish my thoughts how I desire. Creating your own website is very high maintenance and I don’t believe I can do that just yet!

So, here I am sat in a brand-new Starbucks drinking an abnormally large Mocha in my own company, looking out on the mad rush of a Saturday in my home town Ipswich.

Today (22nd July 2017), had not started off to a good day. Waking up at 6am with a bad hangover from consuming a few too many beverages last night, I knew I had to sort myself out and begin the day after a few painkillers of course! However, there were also issues with this person whom I have been ‘seeing’ this past year. I won’t go into too many details because I’m not Cosmopolitan magazine and I’m not going to write a column on ‘relationships’.

Anyway, point being, I did not want to lounge around in bed (like I normally would do in this situation), and as a result, I did an exercise routine, tidied and cleaned, went for a shower and a sun bed, drove to Matalan to do a bit of retail therapy and now I’m here enjoying my surroundings.

Basically, the moral of this post is I’m 19 years old, I have two years left of my University degree up in the city of Leeds and I have very high goals and aspirations in life (they will be detailed in future posts). And regardless of my bad days which I have frequently, I need to remain positive and get on with things. Life is too short at the end of the day.

Hope you have enjoyed my first post ( just a heads up they won’t all be like this), I just felt like introducing myself by describing my day… why not! Follow my Twitter and message for more updates.
