Our new feature is no piece of cake!
A year ago, the team at Dunzo got together for an off-site to strategize on where we want to be and what we want to do, and how do we get to deliver the next billion orders!
Dunzo originally started as a concierge service fulfilling any kind of errand service from getting your documentation done to taking photographs of your house construction. Over time, we narrowed our focus to pure logistics — moving things from A to B in your city.
Our vision is to be the logistics layer of every city, that brings every offline retail store in India to the online world. Dunzo as a brand has always bridged the gap between real-world interactions for our users. We knew that not all merchants have a fleet at their disposal to make instant deliveries for their users, and for the same reason we have been actively polishing our B2B platform, which enabled businesses to use Dunzo’s pick up and drop service to their advantage. Merchants could use our dashboard to schedule these deliveries and it was easy as pie.
Last week, we made yet another headway with our latest feature, Checkout with Dunzo; this allows merchants to integrate Dunzo’s logistic service directly into their website. Users can now choose Dunzo as a delivery option and have their orders delivered right away.
By integrating this feature, we have made it easier for the merchants to initiate orders placed on their platform; saving time and effort of a dedicated person to fulfill these orders. This puts Dunzo right in the heart of logistics at play and gives power to the merchants to integrate an efficient and easy method to track their orders. Every transaction that occurs in the physical world can be made far more efficient and cost-effective if you add Dunzo to it.
So why are we talking desserts? Well, our little project hit the sweet spot and we have CakeZone as our first merchant to integrate this feature on to their website. So now you can place an order from the CakeZone website and choose Dunzo as a delivery option, and we’ll be on our way to bake your day.
