Carrying the weight

Life is so busy. Too busy, if you ask me. But there are jobs to work, kids to raise, church functions to attend, lawns to mow and other tasks to address.

Lately, I’ve started to buckle under the weight of my load. I’m not collapsing, but I’m more stressed than usual, which means less patience for my lovely wife and my two wonderful kids. And less patience and forgiveness for myself.

I’ve heard for a long time about the need to prioritize my life and focus on what matters most. I wholeheartedly agree.

But what does that look like, exactly?

So, I’m curious. Have you ever dropped some of your load in order to focus on the things that matter most? How did it go? Were you happier for it? Did you worry about the task you weren’t accomplishing after shedding some of the weight?
