This persons opinion is irrelevant

"I’m telling you your feedback is irrelevant.
For my entire career I didn’t ask people their opinion on my show.
I don’t care what you think.
I care what I think."

Yesterday I read an email about this topic and it got me to thinking...

How so many people want to give their opinions on things they have no baldy clue about and are highly insulted when the other person isn't sitting on the edge of their seat waiting for their pearls of wisdom

Even back there a few months ago when I asked for feedback many of our long term solid customers were nearly apologizing in the form for giving their opinion

Of course these are the long term customers who never give any hassle and if they do have a genuine problems will ask me on the quiet about it!

The people that gave us, or me, a slatting I didn't even recognise some of their names and some put no name. So they probably just came in for 1 class and haven't been back since....

And you always get the you shouldn't give out about members and "bite the hand that feeds you" nonsense, which of course is completely missing the point that these are not the sort of people we want in the facility in the first place

In this day and age of Generation Snowflake everyone thinks they have a right to an opinion so arm chair critics are in their element to give it

But unless you have walked in that persons shoes and have some experience at it then you can't really say too much

Which is why I pay decent money to learn business from the guys that are out there doing it, not from family and friends who have no idea what they are talking about, even if they mean well

and is also why you shouldn't be taking advice from friends and family when it comes to losing weight and/ or getting fit

As although they mean well, 9 times out of 10 they don't have a baldy and probably think that loads of cardio and crunches for the belly fat is the way to get in shape

along with eating 2 Strawberries a day of course!

So just like everything else there is no black and white answer, the answer is always a little grey....

Listen to the people who are worth listening to and ignore the rest, much easier said than done most of the time
