Why am I gaining weight?

So today is day 20 something or other of the 30 day challenge…

Have lost track exactly but will check later…

The last few days has been the toughest to stick at it for 2 main reasons…

1 very good and exciting and the other pretty sad and disappointing

But we must truck on regardless and hop to it!!

Anyhoo…..

Yesterday I got a reply to an email that is probably the most common question we get asked in the facility:

Hey just a quick question is have been at dutchys from the start of January and sticking to slimming world food but I haven’t lost wait in have gained weight will this eventually start coming off or will I continue 2 gain?

Of course it’s totally understandable when people join a fitness class after hearing about these great fat loss results and all of a sudden they are GAINING weight…

They are going to question what is going on and some people have gotten pretty pissed about it

But this is very common

As people have went from doing zero to little exercise and are now lifting weights and doing resistance training they will start to build some muscle tissue

This muscle tissue can add more to the scales at the start

Causing some panic

However, they will actually lose inches off their back, belly and thighs etc before they will lose weight

This should have them feeling their clothes looser as well as having more energy and sleeping better…

A few more weeks the scales will start to shift and all will be right with the world

But always remember the scales are the least important part of the puzzle

Due to some good knowledge online and the explosion in Resistance Training this idea is starting to come across a lot more

Make sure to remember it though if you are only starting out on your journey and don’t let it frustrate you to the point of quitting…
