The consequences are huge to be honest. Large scale disaffection from the populace about government at all levels — we have to show that we are responsive and that we work to make people’s lives better. Next step is thinking about how we frame this change — how do we make sure we take staff with us? If we make the problem insurmountable, we do nothing. I’m really interested in how public services involved in change processes.
