To The Kids I’ve Coached
Each and every one of you has impacted me in a different way. I’ll never forget all the rec league teams I’ve coached, the high school teams, and every player I’ve ever worked with or coached. They have all made it easier to realize my true passion; mentoring and working with others to achieve their goals through the game of basketball.
It’s crazy that the game of basketball can have such an impact on the lives of young men. Basketball has taken me places I never thought I’d go and it’s the same for every young man I’ve coached. Many have realized they can achieve more than they’ve ever realized on and off the floor.
In the years I’ve coached rec league teams, AAU teams and CYO teams, I’ve always tried to emphasize being your best every time you’re out on the floor. Emphasizing this has made me better and made me give maximum effort at every practice and game I’ve coached. All my teams have always made me proud and made me proud to represent.
The High School teams I’ve coached have always been amazing and progressed throughout each season. Each and every year I go into the season trying to impact their lives when in reality they impact my life more than they know.
I have tried to impact your lives in more ways than just basketball and I hope you can take it with you wherever life may take you. So in the end, take this as advice to find your passion and learn to care for others. I hope that you can find a way into your own heart and figure out what truly motivates you. Take the game of basketball wherever you may go and always remember; win or lose- Give 100%, all the time.
