It’s been a while since we’ve reached out to our friends and followers but it hasn’t been due to stagnation. EDNA has undergone some restructuring in the last few months. We’ve met some friends, some new partners, some allies…
While change can be scary, nothing could be further from the truth from some of the recent developments with EDNA. We’ve looked at the best ways to serve you by optimizing and streamlining the technology, economics and the positioning of our offering. We’ve engaged some of the best consultants in the business to ensure we bring something that withstands the test of time. More importantly, something with the structure to resist the potential backlash from the disruptive forces we’ve set in motion.
We’ve done this while keeping our most basic premise intact: Your DNA, your privacy and your rights. For the last few years we’ve seen centralized monopolies pillage your data. You’ve paid for sub par tests and they’ve sold your DNA at every opportunity possible netting them billions. For this, they’ve pulled some information from a free database and constructed it into a pretty report for you. It just doesn’t seem like a fair tradeoff to us. You’ve been stolen from and compromised and it ends with EDNA.
EDNA is a low friction rational economic system providing transparency, scale and wealth creation for its stakeholders. At its heart is a data exchange market place generating price discovery of the asset every human possesses as their birthright.
A new token and utility model has been built in conjunction with the UtilityX platform that sits on the WORBLI blockchain and with the WORBLI Foundation providing essential compliance services. This new model supports the full economic and utility life cycle of DNA. It creates economic stability and alignment allowing all stakeholders to participate in the direct and catalytic value creation of EDNA. More about this will be released shortly and existing token holders need to take no action.
Legal ownership
Imagine a world where people can own their data completely. They can get sequenced with full genomic tests suitable for clinical use and store them encrypted using blockchain where only their permission granted access.
Financial control
Imagine a world where data buyers can come to negotiate directly with you. If they want your data, they pay you. Imagine controlling what studies your data is actually being used for. For the user, it provides true data ownership and monetization. For the data buyer, it removes the middlemen and the friction with quick and easy access 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to data sets they may want to study.
DNA as an Asset Class
Now take a deeper dive down the rabbit hole: What if we could use financial DNA products and genomic data to help spur investment in impoverished areas. Allow geneticists and scientists access to the most underserved and rarest genetic information while empowering local communities and industry. Blending incentives from investors and those without opportunity to create a better world and a source of income.
We have a lot to share over the next couple of months. We’ve taken compliance into consideration with a quickly evolving regulatory landscape. We’ve been blessed with some great help on a token model that allows everyone to participate and have some skin in the game from simply believing in what we’re doing.
Our model creates a value for DNA, one of the only assets equally distributed to every individual, and not only facilitates a fair wealth distribution but more importantly directly benefits the health, well-being and prosperity of mankind.
