The Revolution will be Televised: Patriots, Dolphins, Seahawks and Chiefs protest.
As the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that took place Sept. 11, 2001 multiple players continued to protest the national anthem, causing mass hysteria within the country.

As emotions ran high for the 15th anniversary of 9/11 and opening week of the NFL regular season, the protest never died down. From players linking arms, kneeling and holding up their right fist in power the NFL wasn’t able to shun the feelings of the players that put their bodies on the line every game.
Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters (pictured above) protested the national anthem with his right fist held high. Peters felt it was only right to support Kaepernick and stand for what he believes.
I’m just stating that I’m black and I love being black,” Peters spoke about his protest. “I’m supporting Colin (Kaepernick) and what he’s doing as far as raising awareness with the justice system. I didn’t mean anything by it. I locked arms with my teammates. I talked with coach and coach said it was OK if I wanted to express my thoughts and so I just expressed it.”
Peters wasn’t the only player to raise his fist high, but he was the first. thus, showcasing the growth this protest continues to lead and the impact it continues to have on the NFL.
