Yeah, of course, part of that is encouraging and true, but in the end Nike’s goal is really not to empower people to fight establishment / capitalism, or to have societal ideals — there is no interest for them for people to realize that Nike is a global brand thriving on exploitation of others. Their goal is to sell shoes. So, as I say, the problem really is not with Kaepernick, but really with the brand’s final goal.
