I’ve never ever seen them mistreated — in fact they’ve often been doing better than me in work and school and life in general.

You’re not hated. The few black people you knew didn’t succeed because they weren’t mistreated, they succeeded IN SPITE of the mistreatment. It was there but you didn’t see it because modern racism isn’t being called N&$%%#! in public. It’s far more insidious and obviously not something to be performed in front of other white people. You don’t know me so why would you take my word? If you truly want to understand this issue find your closest Black friends and Listen to their take on this issue instead of offering your opinion. If you find yourself dismissing their words, ask yourself why you don’t believe them.
