Some corrections, Dean. “Christianity” is a big tent. “Christians” believe all sorts of things, and many of those beliefs are odious or flat-out wrong. On the other hand, there are many “Christian” sects which do not share your bias.
Furthermore, “Christianity” does not state “any sexual relations outside of marriage is adultery” since “adultery” means, simply … “voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and a person who is not his or her spouse.” Since your kind of “Christian” won’t allow gays to be married, then the word you should have used was “fornication” which means “sexual intercourse between people not married to each other.”
As regards gay people being Catholic priests, perhaps you can offer some substantiation about who and how many … and, more importantly, what official Catholic doctrine is. If it has changed a little, then good, since Catholic priests aren’t supposed to have sex at all, even masturbation being regarded as sinful. In your priesthood, your problem hasn’t been with gays anyway, it has been with pedophiles and predators. I presume you know at least as much about that news topic as I do.
P.S. I do find it curious that you believe your god created people as they are, and you state that your god “doesn’t condemn people just for being gay” even though it produced them that way, but you think your god does condemn gay people to loveless existence. That would make your god both cruel and perverse, don’t you think?
