The International 7 regions review: North America
In the series of reviews, we will try to learn a little more about the teams — representatives of each region, especially since some of the teams appear at the main annual Dota 2 event with updated rosters.
Let’s start with the info about the players, picks and general trends.
North America is represented on The International 7 by three teams, each is very interesting and unpredictable in its own way.
Digital Chaos

Relatively new team without a stable gaming strategy. Among the others for DC stands the world’s top MMR — Abed — key figure of the team in perspective. In perspective, because for the sixteen-year-old Filipino this is the first serious experience of playing as part of a well-known professional team. Unlike his teammates Abed is still in a state of adaptation, moving from the status of a solo player to the state of the composite part of a single moving mechanism.
At the moment DC is clearly divided into three parts:
1) Abed
2) mason + BuLba
3) DuBu + Forev
As soon as the final merger of these elements takes place and stable synergy is developed, then it will be possible to speak more confidently of the so-called strategy.
Nevertheless, extreme games have shown that Digital Chaos has not just teeth, but real fangs, in order to bite into the victim and not let go until the last moments, but the end comes quickly, because DC does not count on a protracted game. Needless to say that the average duration of the DC clashes on the qualifiers for TI is approximately 35 minutes, which, by the standards of the current meta and its timings, fully meets the declared goal of the team with its picks.

Pros:
- Strong personalities
- because of the unstable strategy of DC it is difficult to read their intents
Cons:
- lack of sustainable synergies
- unreliable lategame
Key achievements:
Key achievements:
1st on ESL One Genting 2017
2nd on 2016 China Top. Dota 2
2nd on The Boston Major 2016
2nd on Elimination Mode 2.0
TEAM NP

Despite the fact that the current composition of the NP was gathered not so long ago, the players have already managed to achieve a good level of teamwork, in large part due to the fact that the veterans of the team — Aui and EternaLEnvy are still in the ranks, who played together in other teams before NP.
Aui and EternaLEnvy — the backbone of the national team, which regulates the general behavior on the map. This couple has, perhaps, very phlegmatic style of the game, for which they are sometimes called gamers — theorists.
Each their move is verified in advance and seems thought twice, or even more times. Their game is not exactly fast, the guys do not fly like skiing from mountain. NP games as a rule, move slowly and safe, meaning by itself a few alternatives, strictly with the amendment to the preferred lategame. They try to avoid fights, make calculations on the overfarm using stacks and splitpush, maximally spreading all over the map.

Pros:
- effective farm
- A strong lategame due to massive farming
- flexible meta (heroes, objects)
Cons:
-Greedy lanes
- Weak early game
Key achievments:
2nd on ZOTAC Cup Masters
3rd on The Manila Masters
3rd on Elimination Mode 2.0
2nd on Northern Arena BEAT Invitational
EVIL GENIUSES

EG are rightfully one of the contenders for an honorable first place in the future The Inernational. And the 1st place to evil geniuses is discredited not only by their fans, but also by fans of other teams, which is justified, because once the team has already raised the desired Aegis over their heads. In addition, we can not fail to mention the high level of the personal skill of each player and the extraordinary collective synergy.
Speaking about the features of EG gaming, it is important to emphasize that the center of common efforts and the locomotive of crazy dynamics is Sumail. It’s not the first year that geniuses use the modified student rule — “first you work for a student’s record book, then a student’s record book works for you”, although in their case the word “student’s record” is replaced by the words “mid player”. Well, since Sumail does not differ in the international style of the game, the others also pick up their courage for their second position, and also build their strategy in accordance with a given rhythm, which causes bold, extremely aggressive picks, almost without the right to make a mistake. But Sumail isn’t the only core.
It should be understood that by sending supports to the central line, players knowingly realize the danger threatening their first position — Arteezy, which is not always different in autonomy and high sustain. Therefore, the second one is kept as neat as possible until he is assured of the possibility of a help or of his own solvency, which his allies know about and that’s why they are not afraid to leave carry without a nurse if the situation demands so.
Well, they can afford this.
The five typical picks of EG used during the last tournaments are showing us their will to end game ASAP till the lategame.

Pros:
- Competent setting of priorities
- Synergy
- High quality of personal skill
Cons:
- A small number of mistakes can delay the endingof the game and the typical midgame pick of EG has risk to lose it’s relevance.
