About Our Team

Within ETIC, our team focuses on the following initiatives to connect our entrepreneurial ecosystems with global partners.

  • Organizing company visits, fieldwork, training, and inter-organizational member exchanges with global partners
  • Recommending ETIC founders to global social entrepreneurship awards, accelerators, leadership communities, and media
  • Coordinating ETIC founders to the entrepreneur mentors, experts and other resources they need

Mitsuhiko YAMAZAKI (Director of International Partnerships)

Can you briefly introduce yourself?
To me, entrepreneurship is the way of life that opens up my unlimited potential.

Since 2015, I have supported over 40 social enterprises through different accelerator programs, while building long-term relationships with corporate foundation partners including JP Morgan (2015-), Deloitte (2017-), Barclays (2017-), and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (2019-).

In 2022, I founded a new team “ETIC International” within the organization to expand its entrepreneurial ecosystem globally. So far I have led collaborative projects with like-minded entrepreneur support organizations in Basque (Mondragon Team Academy), Taipei (City Wanderer), Paris (Les Canaux), and London (Hatch Enterprise).

Along with the role above, I joined Community Nurse Company in 2017. Before my current role, I worked in a global automotive components manufacturer and got an MBA at Manchester Business School.

What do you do in your free time?
Hip-Hop, Yoga, Walking

What’s your aspiration for ETIC International?
I want people to know more about inspirational entrepreneurs ETIC supports and get involved in their vision.

Naho KAWASHIMA (Social Innovation Team and Global Coordinator)

Can you briefly introduce yourself?
My role in ETIC is to support social entrepreneurs through coaching them, helping to identify their passions, and putting them into concrete actions.

Before ETIC. I was a coordinator of international programs for non-profit professionals in Japan, providing a venue for cross-sectorial networking and dialogue.

I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) of the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI) and hold an MSc in Environmental Governance from the University of Freiburg, Germany.

What do you do in your free time?
I have been practicing the Japanese tea ceremony for 10 years. I also enjoy visiting museums and watching films/TV dramas.

My aspiration/hope for ETIC International
I want to help many people experience the joy of intercultural collaboration and communication! I will help translate Japanese and global contexts, supporting and incubating many inspirational opportunities

Masayoshi KASE (Senior Coordinator)

Can you briefly introduce yourself?
I joined ETIC in 2005. Since 2010, I have been in charge of a project of the Cabinet Office to support 100 social entrepreneurs over two years as a project.

I have also served as a CSR advisor for several companies.

What do you do in your free time?
I watch sports on TV and spend my time drinking craft beer and Japanese craft sake.

I will support our talented team members.
