Sure, times have changed. At the time of the stunt, I just wrote a few comments under news articles, which basically had zero effect. (Not that this article will do better, however…)

Regarding the “salacious” coverage, even years ago no newspaper would have adopted the same attitude if something similar had happened to David’s wife. This is the interesting detail for me, the ideological subtext: Why has the reporting always been different? Why do very few people even notice that there is a stark difference of treatment?

I strongly suggest the examination of that ideological subtext to all hardcore feminists. If you want to change how society treats women, society also needs to change its attitude towards men.
