The Day I Decided to Start PHC Clothing

Listen, I was 17 years old and was already thinking about ways to accomplish the goals that I had mapped out for myself.
This was just a year and a half ago when I was working at a golf course in my hometown when I started coming up with ideas that would allow me to live the lifestyle that I had always promised myself. Now, before you read any farther, I want you to know that I’m not living the lifestyle that I want, yet. I stumbled upon a couple business concepts that I could deploy in my free time and ended up choosing a clothing business.
I never was super big into clothing but I loved the thought of people wearing stuff that I designed. It was sort of like a high for me. So I went all in.
Most people don’t like the process
The quote above really hit home with me when starting my own company. It’s true, most people really don’t like to do what they do. Everyone wants the end prize, the fancy house, the nice cars and gold watches. Yet, if you don’t love the game, love the process, love the journey, then you’ll never get what you desire.
One thing I’ve learned through the ups and downs so far, is that you have to realize how amazing it is when you’re losing, and realize how bad it’s going to get when you’re winning.
PHC isn’t by any means “big” but eventually it will be. I don’t know if it will be 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, who knows, but I do know that playing to win in the micro never works. You have to be extremely patient and focus on the whole picture, the macro.
So take a moment to soak in what’s all going on here, and be ready for all the stories of how PHC is run and all of my thoughts on business.
