Pioneers of the gaming revolution, gather round. This week at the Echelon Prime Foundation was exploratory. Emissaries are investigating the pros and cons of various PRIME release schedules. One camp preferred a token launch as soon as technically possible. Another camp would have held off until ample PRIMEsinks are available. A new idea has taken root that balances these approaches, a middle way. What this means for collectors is shrouded in mystery and enigmatic for now. But rest assured — a calculated and exciting plan is taking shape. PRIME just might be closer than you think.
Perhaps you wondered why our ‘key upcoming date’ is represented by a range of days rather than an individual day. Prime Event 2 will occur at a random time in the first 14 days of May. Neither EPs nor community members will know the exact timing until the two week period has concluded. On May 15, Echelon will select and announce a random block from the range of days. Holders of Echelon-approved digital assets (EADAs) and PRIMEsets at this block will be included in the Prime Event. Future Prime Events may or may not use a more concretely defined date.
EPs are at work on another mechanic, in addition to Prime Events, to benefit committed collectors of EADAs. Those who steadily hold, regardless of collection size and value, deserve to be rewarded for their conviction. Inclusive to early adopters and new entrants alike, this reward system will evaluate each holder’s resolve between Parallel Alpha Pack Drop 1 and the public launch of Parallel TCG. Parallel hosted a community call on Saturday April 9. Tommy, head of 3D and AR at Parallel, says that ‘metaverse’ means a lot and nothing at the same time. “Nobody knows what the metaverse is going to be […] it would be naïve of us to believe that we are gonna build the metaverse. What we will build is amazing content […] in a way that is future proof and platform agnostic.” There are many other gems scattered throughout the nearly 90 minute discussion.
