EcoBit achieved first milestone during ICO

First milestone project is Aquaponic Farm.

EcoBit is implementing some major projects around the concepts of Aquaponics. This is an age old method of blending the farming of fish and plants together in a symbiosis manner. The nitrates and ammonia expelled by the fishes become food for the plants. As the plants take in these harmful build up caused by the fishes, the water is inadvertently cleaned. The plants and the fishes create a mutually beneficial exchange and is all natural. No pesticides and fertilisers are required.

The Aquaponics projects that EcoBit intends to launch is a multi-acreage facility that will breed fishes like tilapia and catfish varieties, and grow a large farm of the following produce:

  • Most varieties of lettuce
  • Most varieties of herbs
  • Watercress
  • Tomatoes
  • Cucumber
  • Squash
  • Zucchini
  • Peppers
  • Broccoli
  • Melons
  • Strawberries

This is one of the self-sustaining projects that EcoBit aspires to provide the world as a showcase. EcoBit intends to spawn and breed the fishes as well as maintain a nursery for the fruits and vegetables so that this eco-project can continue uninterrupted for a prolonged period.

Some of the major benefits of this large scale Aquaponics project will show how EcoBit can help:

  • There will be zero petroleum use as no use of tractors and gas-powered farm equipment.
  • EcoBit Aquaponics Kits and assistance can enable anyone to do the same anywhere, whether at home or in any plot of land of any size.
  • Water will not be wasted as Aquaponics is a closed, recirculating system. There will be zero impact on the environment as Aquaponics does not contribute any CO2 emission at all.
  • High productivity as a single acre of space can contribute to an Agroponics production of 50,000 lbs of tilapia and 100,000 lbs of vegetables.

In line with EcoBit’s education plan, EcoBit will be offering Aquaponics Kits for home use to learn, experiment and appreciate the greater good that EcoBit Aquaponics projects will bring to the world. EcoBit intends to share the Agroponics produce with EcoBit owners on a weekly basis for free. Terms and conditions apply.
