HOW TO CHANGE WIDGETS ON NEW AEON MQ 6
Well we finally launched our best configuration to date, Pro Config 7.0 was launched publicly yesterday and it’s thus far received amazing feedback from the KODI community. Amongst many new and exciting changes comes a new skin. In Pro Config we tested the water per say with the Titan skin. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s a great skin but not what we’re looking for. That being said, we launched 7.0 using the much loved Aeon MQ6, the new updated skin of the Aeon MQ 5 which we have been using in the configs prior to 6.0.
Aeon MQ 6 comes with some brilliant new features which are sure to make your life much easier. In this quick tutorial we’re going to show you how to add / change the the widgets on your main navigation bar to give you extra information, quick add-on access and much more.
HOW TO ADD/CHANGE THE CUSTOM WIDGETS ON YOUR AEON MQ 6 SKIN…
STEP 1 — FROM THE MAIN MENU, SCROLL OVER TO THE CATEGORY YOU WANT TO ADD A WIDGET TO AND CLICK THE UP ARROW.
STEP 2 — IF THERE IS ALREADY A WIDGET IN PLACE YOU WILL THEN SEE AN OPTION TO CHANGE WIDGET, CLICK IT.
STEP 3 — SCROLL THROUGH THE AVAILABLE OPTIONS FOR WIDGETS AND THEN CLICK ENTER TO SELECT IT. YOU SHOULD SEE THE WIDGET TAKE EFFECT STRAIGHT AWAY.
Let’s take a look at some of the examples that I have set up on my Prometheus HTPC.
Here is my LATEST category on my navigation, as you can see here I have a widget in place displaying the latest TV SHOWS to be aired today. This is particular handy if you’re a fan of TV shows and want to keep up to date with them but are not 100% sure when and where they are aired.
Here is my ADD-ONS category. I have created a custom shortcut for this as I like to have quick access to all my video add-ons. As you can see here, I have activated a widget to show me all my enabled video add-ons so that they are right there on my screen should I need to select one. Very handy!
There are plenty more widget to chose from, so it’s just a case of having a play around with the feature and seeing what suits your needs best.
