Hotel Review: Hilton Anaheim in Anaheim California
Posted by Edward Padilla / Photographs by Debi Alvarez
When you turn up at the Hilton Anaheim you are greeted instantly at the front entrance by valet, and the bellman. They are always both very attentive, handle your luggage, and your vehicle. When you walk into the hotel your charmed by the large revolving glass door entrance, and the attendants welcoming you to the hotel.
As you walk pass the lounge, and the gift shop, your always greeted by the lovely staff at the front desk eager to help you. We always stay in a studio suite with one king bed which at times is conveniently ready for us at midday. If your room is not ready before check-in time. No worries the bellman will leave your belongings in a lockable storage while you grab something at Starbucks in the lobby, and catch up on your messages.
Maybe have lunch at Downtown Disney, or head to the outdoor mall blocks away for some shopping. If it appear’s that we know this hotel well, actually we do. We stay here quite a bit, also we are members of Hilton Honors. It is a blessing to receive complimentary water bottles upon check in.
The room suite we are always given is gorgeous. The spacious room, and the beautiful furniture instantly make you feel like its a holiday. Floor to ceiling, wall to wall glass window overlooking the hotel pool below, and with a grand view of Disneyland. At night, the fireworks from Disneyland was amazing. A flat screen TV surrounded by a large writing desk with multiple charging stations for your phones, tablets.
Nice area to work with your laptops. The well tiled bathroom with plenty of space, a wet bar, refrigerator, plenty of drawers for your clothes, and a large king bed with very compfortable mattresses. The housekeeping is always very helpful providing extra towels upon request.
Disneyland — Anaheim California
Once we checked in, and slipped into our beautiful room, I phoned the bellman, and quickly the gentlemen brought up our luggage. He was full of information, and offered any further assistance. We headed straight out the hotel, the valet quickly brought out our car. Within 10 minutes we were walking around the popular Downtown Disney, an outdoor shopping center with many great places to eat.
Also, Downtown Disney is adjacent to the entrance of Disneyland. We are Disney annual pass holders, and at times dine at Disneyland. I must admit that it gets busier every time we visit, but that does not mean you can afford to miss it. In the same amount of time you can be at the Outlets at Orange, an open-air shopping mall.
Less than the same amount of time, walking distance, you can dine at our favorite place, “Morton’s The Steakhouse”. The views of Disneyland from the hotel are awesome. Great for snapping photos. I guess what we are trying to say is that the location is spot on for theme parks, sightseeing, shopping, and restaurants!
There is a real mixture of clients at this hotel. We have found it all quite peaceful, the lounge, restaurant, which has an amazing buffet breakfast with an omelet bar. Also, the hotel has a food court at the rear of the hotel, Starbucks in the Lobby, its Business Office Friendly, has a Disney Desk to provide tickets, and to organize shuttles to main attractions, pool, basketball court, mail service, and a gift shop. It is nice, and quiet and a perfect place for families, couples, and friends to enjoy their time in the city. After arriving from our day, and evening out, it was so nice to just relax in the bar.
Our favorite by far is the breakfast buffet including an omelet bar, surrounded by a retro, business, but classy design that has been orchestrated throughout extremely well. Everything just seems to go so well together, from the nostalgic revolving glass door enclosure hotel entrance to the sophisticated design throughout.
The best time to visit is during the holiday’s. The hotel is decorated so elegantly, and cheerful. The Christmas decorations at the hotel are awesome. All the staff is so cheerful. It makes well for a memorable holiday if you plan on visiting Disneyland during the Holiday Season.
Anaheim Convention Center
I almost forgot that the hotel is next to the Anaheim Convention Center. Overall, we really loved the Hilton Anaheim Hotel as a chic and affordable place to stay in Anaheim, here in sunny Southern California. The staff is always friendly and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble. One huge benefit was all the amenities the hotel has to offer. Anyone looking for comfort, and a pleasant stay in Anaheim California. I recommend that you stay at the the Hilton Anaheim.
Environmental Friendly Green Hotel
Hilton Anaheim is an environmental friendly hotel, and hats off to the hotel for helping combat Climate Change, revolving doors are energy efficient, preventing drafts, and keeps heat, and cool air from escaping the building. Also, the hotel provides shuttles. Escorting a multitude of visitors to, and from their destinations, resulting in less vehicle usage thus cutting down on greenhouse gas emissions.
I also noticed that the hotel uses energy efficient compact fluorescent’s, and LED’s as oppose to light bulbs. All thermostats are programmable. All appliances have the Energy Star® label. The foods seem to be organic, and locally grown. So many places to visit within walking distance, leaving the car behind. Transportation causes 25 percent of California’s Greenhouse Gas Emission. Also, this way you save money, and get in better shape.
With all the beautiful trees surrounding the property, this ensures on cutting down on greenhouse gas emissions, trees suck the carbon dioxide out of the air. Making your trip a green one, doesn’t mean composting your banana peel while you’re on the road. If possible reserve your next stay at a green hotel such as Hilton Anaheim.
