Didn’t Cruz publicly commit to supporting whoever the Republican Party nominee was? Perhaps, after some soul searching, came to the conclusion that honoring that commitment may be a good thing for his political career unless he was going to switch parties. Trump’s poll numbers may have helped him with his decision. Trump’s poll numbers are pretty good even though he is being outspent by a huge margin, has virtually all the media actively campaigning for his opponent and misrepresenting about 80% of what he says, and has every RINO stabbing him in the back every chance they get. People, like it or not, are fed up with Washington elites like Clinton. Just ask a Bernie supporter.
