Early Soviet feminists thought along the same lines: liberation from “kitchen slavery” via cooperatives. I don’t have a good link or citation, unfortunately. Funny that true liberation from kitchen slavery came through technology like dishwashers and food processors.


The only place where cooperative model was successful, to an extent, is in Israel kibbutz movement,but there it was voluntary and often short term.
