Well written- with a very pithy observation about Trump supporters and Republican voters in general:

Which is why so many of these Trump supporters sound and behave with such small minded, petty cruelty. There is truly a lack of emotional maturity, and there is a whole entertainment and media industry that tells them how they are really just a lottery win away from being millionaire, that drinking a shake will really make thin, and pills will make them young, and they should be able to walk into any job, anywhere, and make tons of money a year. And if it is not the case, it’s somebody else fault, usually a black/brown/woman.

It’s not true. It has never been true. But this is a belief system, and so many White Republican voters believe in that more strongly than they believe in Jesus Christ.
