So diversity is the goal, except diversity of thought (Google, Facebook, Microsoft,LinkedIn,Twitter and Apple)

“You can’t fire someone just because they say there are biological differences between men and women.”
Apparently you can. With the modern day left, there is little room left for facts — feelings are much more important than facts.
It’s a dangerous trend. I identify with the left on some social issues (gay rights, muslims for example), but their insane level of bigotry, intolerance, discrimination, and refusal to engage in any meaningful conversation (just shouting down the opposition as “hate speech”) on other issues makes them very unappealing from an intellectual standpoint.
What an appalling, Orwellian abuse of power. Google has made “diversity” a dirty word today, confirming many suspicions that it’s just a sham and cover for the Left to promote its own viewpoint while silencing others.

Case in point: many Google employees talk openly about their disdain for Republicans, or Conservatives, or Trump voters, or express anti-police views, or openly grouse about white employees getting where they are because of “white priviledge”….all of it just as “discriminatory” as what this engineer said, but those are all officially sanctioned Left-wing ideas, and so they’reprotected by Google’s vast bureacracy and Leftist (but filthy rich!) leadership.
But as soon as a single rank-and-file employee ventures off that well-worn path, they’re CRUSHED. Not engaged. Not debated. Not warned. CRUSHED.
And let’s be honest, the same thing would happen at ALL of the major tech companies today — Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, wherever. They lecture about the flowery benefits of “diversity” but roughly half of the country is Conservative, and none of those companies would lift a finger to hire a Conservative to increase the diversity of viewpoints in their workplace, while bending over backwards to hire people specifically because of their race or gender.

You’ve made a big mistake today, Google. You had ALL the power. ALL OF IT. But you showed ZERO restraint in punishing one guy that dared to question a lot of your own discriminatory policies. You’re the bully here, and people won’t forget it.
