When summer heats up, many people reluctantly pack away their snowboards and skis and begin their countdown to the next season. If you are willing to travel, however, summer does not have to signal the sad end to your seasonal snow sporting endeavors. CNN recently ranked the seven best spots to enjoy a mid-summer skiing or snowboarding session.

Hintertux ski resort leads off CNN’s list as Austria’s only true year-round option. The resort rests on the Hintertux Glacier and attracts top skiers from around the globe during summer months. Two different French resorts make the list, Les Deux Alpes and Tignes, along with two Swiss destinations, Saas-Fee and Zermatt. American travelers hoping to stay closer to home can head north to the list’s only North American locale, Whistler-Blackcomb, located on Canada’s Horstman Glacier.
