Actually, as one who is of the same generation as Talia, I appreciate Stefanie’s outlook on things — and especially her story. It inspires me to do better, makes me want to complain less and try harder.
In fact, I’m sure I’m not the only one from my generation who is tired of the entitlement-culture that has seemingly sprung up so rapidly among us. I say give credit where credit is due — not pity to someone who isn’t even trying. I know you say we don’t know Talia’s entire story, that much is true. But we do know enough to be informed about what kind of work ethic she has — the kind that lacks!
Stefanie’s words, both in her original tweet and in this one, hit home completely. I want to take it one step further and apologize for the generation I live amongst. I am sorry for the pity-craving, self-entitled people we have become.
