2. SleepShaman — Guardian of Eggies World
Although SleepShaman was the second Monster to be created by Professor Eggies he was the first to be hatched after the Professor crash landed on the strange, alien planet that Humans came to know as Eggies World.
As the Vein Vines pierced the crashed Lab Ship’s hull on that first night they also gently entwined the waiting EGG, warming it with their tendrils, seeking out any cracks in the powder white surface. As SleepShaman started to emerge he found himself lifted gently by the plants and set down on the hard Lab Floor. When touching the tiles he could sense nothing but emptiness but when in contact with the vines the whole of Eggies World opened up to him.
Considered an elder by other Monsters, he moves slowly among them imparting his wisdom to those he considers worthy. In the early lab days he also helped the Professor seek out some of the more unusual plants and minerals on Eggies World, allowing the Professor to adapt some of his formulas in a unique way.
If his calming manner is not enough to soothe those around him, he can coat his rivals in a sticky substance that encourages them to drift off into a deep and satisfying sleep. His calm demeanour will fracture if there is a threat to the landscape and he can bring down the full forces of nature upon those who do not treat the Eggies World environment with the respect it deserves.
