Hi Larry Kim. Great information. Moderate multitasking or change working environment occasionally actually will help you gain more fresh energy and epinephrine. For example, you can insert walking around, listening music or other small tasks to your long projects to improve working efficiency, especially when you stuck on something sometimes.

However, putting more emphasis on multitasking is a bad idea. I agree with Simon Trepel, MD on this point. Make sure you cultivate your habits and reduce the wasting time between various tasks. For example, when you switch, you need 10mins or even half an hour to learn the ropes, which is a time-consuming process.

Last but not the least, it depends on people’s characteristics too. Some people are master of multitasking and get things done fast. Some people can’t. You should find your own way to improve yourself.
