It would also help everyone, if you wouldn’t mind, to actually do some reading on Critical Race Theory and the definition of racism that has been around for about a half century. It is more nuanced than the dictionary definition (written by guess who?) and was developed for the need to legally identify systemic racism. It is used in academia by multiple disciplines. It has more nuance than hatred in your heart. I can personally be hated by any race, but I am immune to racism, just as I am immune to complete awareness at all times of the privileges white skin affords me. These are shortcut concepts (privilege, fragility, racism=prejudice+power) for complex dynamics. But if you do the research, the underpinnings of these concepts become clearer and clearer. So much so that when I read the original piece I hear it as a testament, not a “hateful rant”. You could hear it as I do given the desire to truly understand what the lived experience is of the original author.
