The Zen of Social Media

Okay, I understand Zen about as much as I understand physics. It has something to do with peace of mind or whatever. But hear me out.

It’s all just information and often it is disconnected from context we cannot see. Sometimes we like things just because we want to acknowledge a friend… even one who is an idiot. That’s only one example of context.

Inside jokes can be misunderstood.

Opinions can change.

People are not always clear.

Spell check has a mind of its own.

But here’s the thing, sometimes you just can’t get past it, you just have to judge. So judge away! It’s great fun, so let the fun relax your mind. One stupid like or poorly researched post isn’t going to end civilization and it just might spark something interesting.
