Being tickled to death is a good way to put it. It’s fun, if you are into that sort of thing, for about 5 seconds, and then it turns into torture.

The rigidity (and vehemence) of those repetitive responses you/we get from Trump supporters suggest their irrationality. They are closed to examination, not unlike the beliefs of cult members.

Politics is irrational; but what we are seeing in Trumpism is downright psychotic — though not unheard of among fundamentalists of all stripes.
