The poverty line for a single adult in the U.S. is $12,060. To live “well below” poverty, you would have to be earning “well below” minimum wage (though, admittedly, at 40 hours/week.)

Whatever else your article might have proved or illuminated, this obvious and cheap lie undermines it.

Bummer.
